ACE este organizația reprezentativă pentru profesia de arhitect la nivel european. Prin intermediul său 53 Member Organisations, ACE reprezintă interesele a peste o jumătate de milion de arhitecți din 36 de țări din Europa.
Its membership includes the regulatory and professional representative bodies from all EU Member States; 6 Observer Members from EU Accession Countries and a potential candidate country (Serbia, Ukraine, Montenegro, the Republic of North Macedonia, Moldova and Kosovo); as well as Members with special status (the UK, Switzerland and Norway).
Misiunea ACE este:
- Influențarea, prin advocacy, a legislației UE și a politicilor care au impact asupra priorităților noastre strategice;
- să fie o sursă influentă și apreciată de informații cu valoare de autoritate pentru profesia de arhitect în Europa;
- să acționeze ca o voce unitară a profesiei de arhitect în instituțiile europene;
- să fie un organism reprezentativ în rețea pentru arhitecții și practicile din UE;
- Crearea unei practici de facilitare și a unui mediu de reglementare pentru arhitecți & practici;
- Demonstrarea rolului arhitecților în crearea unei Europe cu adevărat competitive, bogate și durabile.

Arhitecți în Europa
According to ACE 2024 Sector study, there are 580 000 architects across 30 European countries, marking an 8% increase over the past decade. The profession is approaching gender parity, women now represent 45% of professionals. Most architects work full-time, and a significant portion, 46%, are practice owners or principals, many operating as small, independent firms. More work as Principals now compared with 10 years ago.

On 11 June 2026, the Architects’ Council of Europe joined Housing Europe, EUROCITIES, UN-Habitat and the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GlobalABC) in adopting the joint declaration “Delivering Affordable and Climate-Resilient Housing for All” at the New European Bauhaus Festival.
