On 8 March 2025, we celebrate International Women’s Day under the theme, “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”
This year’s theme calls for collective action to unlock equal rights, power, and opportunities for everyone, paving the way for a feminist future where no one is left behind. At the heart of this vision is the empowerment of the next generation—particularly young women and adolescent girls—as drivers of lasting change.
“As European architects, we are committed to championing gender equality and diversity within the profession to create inclusive workplaces for future generations. The A/B/C handbook serves as a dedicated toolkit designed by and for the architecture profession, offering practical knowledge and guidance to foster gender equality, diversity, equity, and inclusion at work. It supports organisations on their transformational journey towards more inclusive and responsible work practices,” stated Ruth Schagemann, ACE President.
Read the ACE A/B/C handbook for gender equality.
It is a call to action, a handbook, a manifesto, a practical tool for change, a voice, a commitment, a timely guide, a timeless demand, a reminder to keep learning, a conversation and a distillation of a grander narrative.
The A/B/C is available in Slovenian, German, and Romanian.
