As a European organisation representing 31 European countries and as citizens in a Continent that has sacrificed so much in the cause for peace, we express our grave concern for the violent clashes occurring in Ukraine. We feel that this level of conflict, regardless of political positions, should have no space in the world we are aspiring towards and have, with some success, already achieved in Europe. We sincerely believe that reflection, collaboration and consensus is the only way to progress towards the environment and the life we are all aiming for. We trust that the principle of the common good of all citizens will prevail and will bring negotiation rather than conflagration.
