The BUSUnited initiative played a central role at the 17th BUILD UP Skills European Exchange Meeting, held on 21–22 April 2026 in Brussels. The event gathered more than 70 participants from 31 LIFE CET projects to strengthen cooperation on skills for the green and digital transition in the built‑environment sector.

A key moment of the meeting was the presentation of the new BUILD UP Skills Communities of Practice (CoPs), developed under BUSUnited. These CoPs aim to create a collaborative, practitioner‑driven space where project teams and stakeholders can exchange knowledge, co‑develop solutions and accelerate the uptake of skills across Europe. The approach builds on the long‑standing experience of the BUILD UP Skills initiative and responds to the need for more coordinated, scalable and impactful skills actions.

ACE Co‑Facilitates the Community of Practice on European Synergies

The Architects’ Council of Europe is pleased to co‑facilitate the CoP on European Synergies, which focuses on strengthening links between EU initiatives, improving coordination across programmes and ensuring that skills development efforts are aligned with policy priorities and market needs. This CoP provides a strategic platform for connecting the architectural profession with European‑level developments in sustainability, digitalisation and workforce transformation.

Invitation to ACE Members

ACE encourages its members to join the BUSUnited Communities of Practice and contribute their expertise to shaping Europe’s future skills landscape. Participation is open to all professionals interested in skills mapping, Green Public Procurement, innovative training methods, cross‑border recognition and other key themes driving the transition of the built environment.

By engaging in the CoPs, ACE members can help co‑create practical solutions, share best practices and support a more coordinated and effective European skills ecosystem.
