Shaping Europe’s Built Environment – Meeting with MEP Marcos ROS

Today, the ACE President Daniel Fügenschuh, ACE Secretary General Dr. Katharina Erdmenger and Pierre OBAJTEK, Senior Policy Officer held a constructive and forward-looking meeting with MEP Marcos ROS SEMPERE to discuss key European policy developments impacting architecture, cities and the built environment.
The discussion focused on:
• The EU response to the Housing crisis
• The New European Bauhaus
• The ongoing negotiations for the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF)
• The upcoming revision of the Public Procurement Directive
• The new ACE exhibition on the renovation and transformation of the built environment
• The upcoming ARCH-E conference on Architectural Design Competitions
• The upcoming UIA Congress in Barcelona
The exchange reaffirmed the essential role of architecture and urban policy in delivering quality, sustainability and resilience for Europe’s built environment. We thank Mr ROS for the open and engaging dialogue and look forward to continued cooperation
