ACE è l'organizzazione rappresentativa della professione di architetto a livello europeo. Attraverso la sua 53 Member Organisations, ACE rappresenta gli interessi di oltre mezzo milione di architetti provenienti da 36 paesi europei.
Its membership includes the regulatory and professional representative bodies from all EU Member States; 6 Observer Members from EU Accession Countries and a potential candidate country (Serbia, Ukraine, Montenegro, the Republic of North Macedonia, Moldova and Kosovo); as well as Members with special status (the UK, Switzerland and Norway).
La missione dell'ACE è:
- Influenzare, attraverso la difesa, la legislazione dell'UE e le politiche che hanno un impatto sulle nostre priorità strategiche;
- Essere una fonte influente e apprezzata di informazioni autorevoli per la professione di architetto in Europa;
- agire come voce unificata della professione di architetto nelle istituzioni europee;
- essere un organismo rappresentativo efficacemente collegato in rete per gli architetti e gli studi dell'UE;
- Creare una pratica abilitante e un ambiente normativo per le pratiche & architetti;
- Dimostrare il ruolo degli architetti nella creazione di un'Europa realmente competitiva, arricchente e sostenibile.

Architetti in Europa
According to ACE 2024 Sector study, there are 580 000 architects across 30 European countries, marking an 8% increase over the past decade. The profession is approaching gender parity, women now represent 45% of professionals. Most architects work full-time, and a significant portion, 46%, are practice owners or principals, many operating as small, independent firms. More work as Principals now compared with 10 years ago.
