The 2025 Spanish Architecture Awards have recognised nine exemplary projects that address today’s pressing social, environmental, and urban challenges, both within Spain and internationally. The awards were announced at a gala ceremony held on 3 July at Teatro Fernán Gómez in Madrid, attended by over 500 guests and streamed live worldwide.
Organised by the Higher Council of the Orders of Architects of Spain (CSCAE) and officially sponsored by COMPAC®, the Awards celebrate architecture as a transformative force for the common good, aligning with values promoted by the Uusi eurooppalainen Bauhaus—inclusion, sustainability, and design excellence.
Among this year’s top honours:
- The Gold Medal for Architecture was awarded ex aequo to Joan Busquets ja Fernando de Terán, for their outstanding contributions to architecture and urban planning.
- The Lluís Comerón Graupera Architect Award recognised the vital work of volunteer architects responding to natural disasters.
