TURN ON Architecture Festival
‘Creative Dissonances’
12–14 March 2026 | ORF RadioKulturhaus Vienna
Free admission | Live stream
The annual TURN ON Architecture Festival, held at the ORF Radiokulturhaus Vienna, has been a central meeting place for architectural and urban planning discourse for many years. From 12 to 14 March, current issues in contemporary architecture will be brought to the stage with free admission. Under this year’s theme of ‘creative dissonances’, the festival is moving away from the crisis narratives of recent years and focusing on forward-looking, experimental positions – a changed, more precise view of architecture is more in demand than ever.
On the first two days, the TURN ON PARTNER programme track will examine specific issues of planning and construction, while on the third day, TURN ON will focus on individual design strategies and approaches. The spectrum ranges from residential construction to leisure, education and infrastructure projects.
As every year, TURN ON looks beyond Austria: in addition to Germany, this year’s geographical focus is on Portugal, with contributions from Bak Gordon, Branco del Río and Correia/Ragazzi.
On Friday, 13 March, Jurek Brüggen and Aimée Michelfelder from the collective AFEA – Association for Ecological Architecture – will speak as keynote speakers about transformative processes. Representing a younger generation, they ask: What new perspectives can architects develop in an increasingly complex working world?
ACE President Daniel Fügenschuh and Katharina Fröch will contribute with insights from the ARCH-E project.
