In light of the ongoing housing crisis in Europe, energy-
efficient building renovation is a key lever for reducing energy
costs and increasing the supply of adequate housing.
In collaboration with local authorities and experts from France
and Germany, the Franco-German Forum for the Future has
identified concrete policy recommendations to support
socially just renovations and affordable housing.
These measures, which can be found on the website in French
and German, will be at the heart of the session. The local
initiatives that inspired them will be presented by their project
leaders. They will then be put into perspective in a discussion
with key players in energy and housing policy at European
level.
