Registration Open: The Fourth and Final UREHERIT Conference

20–21 March 2026 | Ukraine & Online

The consortium of the international Creative Europe project UREHERIT – Architects for Heritage in Ukraine invites architects, heritage professionals, researchers, policy-makers, and members of the wider cultural sector to attend the fourth and final international UREHERIT conference, taking place 20–21 March 2026 in Ukraine and online.

Over the course of the project, the UREHERIT conference series has served as an important international platform connecting professionals from Ukraine and Europe. Across four conferences held between 2023 and 2026, the series has facilitated knowledge exchange, promoted innovative methodologies for heritage protection and reconstruction, and strengthened professional networks supporting Ukraine’s recovery.

The conference marks the closing milestone of the three-year European – Ukrainian cooperation project dedicated to integrating cultural heritage into the processes of democratic, sustainable recovery and reconstruction in Ukraine. Bringing together Ukrainian and European experts, the event will present the key results, methodologies, pilot projects, and policy recommendations developed throughout the project and discuss their relevance for Ukraine and other European countries facing similar heritage challenges.

Since its launch, the UREHERIT project has created a platform for collaboration among architects, urban planners, heritage specialists, educators, and policy-makers. Through research, workshops, professional training, educational programs, and public events, the initiative has explored how architectural and cultural heritage can contribute to community resilience, identity rebuilding, and sustainable urban development.

The final conference will present outcomes across the project’s main thematic areas, including:

The programme will feature presentations by project partners and experts, thematic sessions on the project’s research and methodologies, and a high-level roundtable discussion addressing the current challenges of cultural heritage protection and recovery in Ukraine.

The conference will conclude with a panel discussion titled “UREHERIT: findings, results, impact,” reflecting on the broader significance of the project and exploring future opportunities for continued European–Ukrainian cooperation in heritage-based reconstruction.

As part of the closing event, the project will also present the UREHERIT CPD project book, summarizing the knowledge, tools, and experiences developed during the initiative.

The conference will be held in English with simultaneous interpretation into Ukrainian, ensuring accessibility for both international and Ukrainian audiences. Participation is free of charge, and the event will also be live-streamed online.
