As part of their ongoing commitment to responsible architecture, ever mindful of factors related to climate and the environment, the International Union of Architects (UIA), the Architects' Council of Europe (ACE), the National Council of the Order of French Architects (CNOA), and the International Council of French Architects (CIAF) organised an international conference on the theme "Architecture, the Climate of the Future" in order to discuss how architecture and urban planning can contribute to addressing the challenges posed by climate change. The conference took place on 30 November 2015 in Paris, at the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, on the opening day of the UN Climate Change Conference, COP 21.
