Title: Project Officer
Type of contract: Short-term contract (full-time)
Duration: 1 year, to start as soon as possible
Objective: Work on European-funded projects in which ACE is a partner.
Responsibilities
● Conducting desk research and providing information to support the architects’ point of view on technical issues in project activities/documents.
● Leading work packages and/or tasks of the projects. Initiating, planning, executing, concluding and monitoring the works in collaboration with other project partners. Write reports on the work developed in the work package and task.
● Communicating with project partners; attending and/or presenting tasks and/or work package developments at online and in-person project meetings
● Traveling for project meetings and/or project activities and reporting travel expenses.
● Planning, creating and implementing communication activities in collaboration with other partners. Writing reports and other communication material for and about the projects.
● Producing audio-visual content (graphics, podcast, video-editing and footage).
● Managing the content of project websites and social media accounts (Twitter/Facebook/LinkedIn/<wbr />Instagram/YouTube)
● Planning, tendering and coordinating the works of external companies on promotional videos and design work on project logos and communication materials (Leaflets, infographic, website) as foreseen by the project and within the budget.
● Planning, organising and delivering EU-wide events (training, networking, dissemination events) in different formats (physical/online/hybrid) in collaboration with project partners, as foreseen by the project’s description and budget.
● Creating and coordinating communication actions to promote the events with the support of the project partners.
Desired profile:
● Degree in Architecture, Communication, or other related background.
● 3 years of working experience in EU projects, as a Work Package leader and/or task leader.
● Knowledge of sustainability topics in the architecture and construction sector and EU affairs is desirable.
● Excellent written and spoken English. Other European languages are an asset.
● Experience in Mailchimp, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Express), Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), WordPress, collaborative working tools (Teams, Zoom, Meet, Google Documents, Google Presentation, Google Forms, Miro, Sli.do, Mentimeter, and SharePoint) and Surveys (SurveyMonkey.
● Team player, ability to work collaboratively, proactive and adaptive.
● Attention to detail, well organised, and able to meet deadlines.
● Availability to occasional travel within the EU
Conditions:
● Limited contract duration of 1 year, with a view to extending;
● Starting date: 21st October 2024
● Place of work: ACE office, Brussels, Belgium;
● Working hours: 38hrs/week
● Working language: English;
