ACE Welcomes the Association of Serbian Architectural Practices as New Observer Member

The Architects’ Council of Europe has officially welcomed the Association of Serbian Architectural Practices (ASAP) as an Observer Member, effective January 2026, following unanimous approval at its General Assembly in Prague. Founded in Treviso, Italy, ACE has represented the architectural profession in Europe for more than three decades.

Through its 53 Member Organisations, ACE advocates for the interests of over half a million architects across 36 countries. Observer Membership offers organisations from non-EU countries an opportunity to engage in dialogue with ACE, contributing to legislative alignment in preparation for EU accession, while also exchanging expertise on critical issues such as professional mobility, mutual recognition and access to public procurement. With the addition of ASAP, ACE now counts 7 Observer Members. Their contributions further strengthen ACE’s mission to foster knowledge-sharing and to promote best practices across Europe.

ASAP expressed its commitment to this new role: “This is a great honour and responsibility for us. We are committed to contributing fully and to strengthening connections with other associations and colleagues throughout Europe. In doing so, we hope to support the advancement of architecture and creativity in Serbia, while making our contribution to the European integration process to which the Republic of Serbia is dedicated.”
