The event, starting with the presentation of a research project commissioned by the CNAPPC to CRESME S.p.A. on the effects of different types of public procurement, aims to foster a technical and political reflection on the goals of public works, particularly in view of the upcoming new EU Directive on Public Procurement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The study analysed a significant sample of public works carried out in Italy (school buildings) each realized through three different types of tender processes: design competition; most economically advantageous tender; integrated contract. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The research compared their relative efficiency in terms of: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Total time required to complete a public work (including a breakdown of time across phases: design, put up for tender, construction, testing); <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Cost variations between the budgeted amount and final expenditures; <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Final quality of the completed building. The findings highlighted notable differences among different tender types.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the participation of Carl B\u00e4ckstrand, ACE President and Diego Zoppi, ACE EB Member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will take place on 24 September at the Chamber of Deputies in Rome.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
