Young Talent 2025 Publication

Intelligens . Talent

to repare as an act of radical resistance // to regenerate and coexist within the evolving territory // to redefine sustainable adaptive reuse // to reclaim high-tech ruins for low-tech living // to address new social and environmental conditions post-catastrophe

These are action proposals from some of the projects that one finds in these pages, statements of intent to address contemporary challenges unfolding across different parts of our planet. Words that emerge from the young voices of architects who have graduated in the past two years.

The ensemble of projects contained in this book have been selected by the jury of the Young Talent 2025, formed by Maibritt Dammann (Aarhus), Ana Dana Beros (Zagreb – Graz – Trieste), Jason O’Shaughnessy (Cork), Konstantinos Pantazis (Athens), and Daliana Suryawinata (Singapore – Bandung – Rotterdam). This collection of works was exhibited at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia under the title “Intelligens . Talent”, as an official Collateral Event, from May 10 to November 23, 2025.

All these selected projects present a critical stance and highlight the importance of research in the design process in order to deeply understand our society and the existing environment. From urban environments to rural contexts, or post-extractive to post-catastrophic landscapes; between reality and utopia, they propose holistic approaches through multi-scalar perspectives and the potential of technique.

Alongside these projects, the insights from the jury members, as well as the final graduation projects by Max Hacke and Gustav Düsing, 2024 EUmies Awards winners.

Young Talent fosters academic exchange and aims to strengthen architects’ skills from the outset of their careers, while also promoting insight into the diverse approaches and commonalities in architectural education around the world.
