With 85 to 95% of today\u2019s buildings expected to still be standing in 2050, renovating, adapting and reusing what already exists has become a priority in the face of the combined housing and climate crises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drawing on concrete European and regional projects, architects, clients and local stakeholders will discuss four questions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Preserve and reveal:<\/strong> what should be kept of a place, and how can a new narrative be built around it?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Living in the existing:<\/strong> adding storeys, densifying, converting offices and industrial buildings into housing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Removing barriers:<\/strong> regulatory and financial obstacles, and European levers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Making it possible:<\/strong> skills, commissioning and resident participation in support of sober, inclusive transformations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Speakers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Elizabeth Gossart, architect, Vice-President of the Architects\u2019 Council of Europe<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reto Gm\u00fcr, architect, Chair of the exhibition jury, member of the ACE Executive Board<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mathieu Berteloot, architect, Hart Berteloot \u2013 Atelier Architecture Territoire, Associate Professor at ENSAP Lille<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Simon Delloue, architect and urban planner, Atelier MA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ga\u00eblle Hamonic, architect, Hamonic + Masson &amp;
