Short description <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ARV project creates Climate Positive Circular Communities (CPCC) in Europe and increases the building renovation rate on the continent. The overall aim of ARV (Norwegian word for \u201cheritage\u201d or \u201clegacy\u201d) is to demonstrate and validate attractive, resilient, and affordable solutions that significantly speed up deep energy renovations and deployment of energy and climate measures in the construction and energy industries. The core of the ARV project lies in the six large-scale demonstration projects in six European cities (Oslo in Norway, Sonderborg in Denmark, Karvina in the Czech Republic, Utrecht in the Netherlands, Palma in Spain and Trento in Italy). These communities will be developed as Climate Positive Circular Communities, which is a concept that rests on three main pillars: Circular economy, integration of people, buildings and energy systems and simplicity \u2013 achieved by means of digitalisation and industrialisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Architects\u00b4 Council of Europe\u2019s involvement <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Architects\u2019 Council of Europe led the dissemination and communication activities of the project, overseeing the coordination of the project website, visual identity, brochure, banner, newsletter, and social media content. It also facilitated the organisation of events in the demonstration communities of Palma de Mallorca, Oslo, Sonderborg, and Karvina, as well as events for industry professionals and policymakers, including the final project event. In addition, the Architects\u2019 Council of Europe will contribute to the development of guidelines for designers and architects related to CPCCs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expected project results <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ARV provides guidelines and a policy framework for future energy-efficient, circular and digital solutions in the construction industry, such as the Blueprint for planning, (re)design,<\/a> (re)construction, operation, and use of climate positive circular communities, design configuration for a modular, scalable, Integrated retrofitting concept for positive energy mid- & high-rise buildings embedded in a green neighbourhood in Utrecht<\/a>, Design guidelines for refurbished and new buildings in the positive circular community in Palma<\/a>, Karvina<\/a>, Oslo<\/a>, Trento<\/a> and Utrecht, and Policy Recommendation Paper<\/a> on speeding up the implementation of zero-emission buildings and neighbourhoods through targeted financial policies. The results can be found on the ARV website<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
